Painting Landscapes & Nature studies – A 4 Week Course in Depth & Detail Develop your painting skills and learn how to create depth, texture, detail and atmosphere through detailed studies inspired by landscapes and the changing seasons. Join me for a 4-week painting course exploring the beauty of landscapes, nature and seasonal scenes. Whether you’re completely new to painting, have some experience, or simply want to build confidence and improve your techniques, this course will help you observe the world more closely and translate its detail into paint. Four Weeks of Continuous Learning Unlike a one-off monthly Paint & Sip workshop, this 4-week course gives you the opportunity to get into the flow of painting and develop your skills from week to week. Each week will feature a new landscape, nature or seasonal study, giving you the chance to explore a variety of subjects while continuing to build on the techniques you’ve learned in previous sessions. The course includes a selection of present Paint & Sip workshops and some new ones. So while each week brings something new to paint, the focus remains on developing your understanding of depth, detail, texture, layering and brushwork throughout the four weeks. What you’ll explore * Creating a strong sense of depth and dimension * Building texture and detail through layered paint * Capturing seasonal colour, light and atmosphere * Painting natural textures such as foliage, rocks, trees and earth * Creating backgrounds including the bokeh technique * Using colour, tone and contrast effectively * Developing brushwork and layering techniques * Turning small sections or details of a landscape into finished paintings High-quality materials You’ll also work on canvas paper with high-quality painting materials, so you can focus fully on learning, experimenting and developing your technique. Suitable for all abilities No previous painting experience is required. Whether you’re a beginner, have painted before, or have attended one of my Paint & Sip workshops, this course is designed to help you develop your skills and confidence at your own pace. This 4-week course can be taken as a standalone course or as part of an ongoing series of focused painting courses, each exploring different subjects and techniques to deepen your understanding of my painting process. Cancellation Policy
As this is a 4-week course, your booking reserves a place for you for the full four weeks. The course is booked and paid for as one complete course rather than as four individual classes. Cancellations before the course starts If you need to cancel your booking, please give as much notice as possible. * More than 7 days before the course begins: a full refund will be given. * Within 7 days of the course starting: the course fee is non-refundable unless your place can be filled by another participant. * If your place is successfully filled, a refund will be given, less any reasonable administration costs. Cancelling part-way through the course Once the 4-week course has started, refunds cannot normally be given for individual missed classes or for leaving the course early. This is because your booking reserves a place for the entire four-week course. If you are unable to attend one of the sessions, please let me know as soon as possible. Where practical, I will provide any relevant information or guidance from the missed session, but missed classes cannot be carried forward to another course. If I need to cancel In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a session, I will offer an alternative date wherever possible. If the course cannot be completed, you will receive a refund for any sessions that are unable to take place. I understand that circumstances can sometimes change, so if you have an unexpected situation that prevents you from attending, please get in touch and I will always try to be as helpful and fair as possible.
