Dog Portrait – 4 Week Paint & Sip series in Chippenham Wiltshire Take your time, enjoy the process and create one beautiful, detailed animal portrait over four relaxed painting sessions. Love my Paint & Sip workshops? This one is a little different. Instead of creating a new painting each week, you’ll spend four sessions developing one animal portrait from the very first layers of paint through to the finished piece. Our first subject will be a beautiful close-up cat portrait, giving us plenty of opportunity to explore fur, eyes, ears and all those little details that bring an animal to life. With four 3-hour sessions, there’s no need to rush. We can take our time, build up the layers and watch your painting gradually come together. I’ll guide you through each stage with demonstrations, tips and plenty of encouragement, while you enjoy the relaxed and sociable atmosphere of a Paint & Sip. What we’ll explore * Creating realistic-looking fur with different brush techniques * Building up colour, texture and depth through layers * Painting expressive eyes and detailed features * Using light, tone and contrast to bring your portrait to life * Adding those final details that make your animal feel truly yours * Gaining confidence while having fun with acrylic paint You don’t need to be an experienced artist. I’ll break the painting down into manageable stages and guide you throughout, but there’s always room to add your own touches and personality. Suitable for All Abilities Whether you’re completely new to acrylic painting, have painted before, or already love my Paint & Sip workshops, you’re very welcome. The aim isn’t to create a perfect painting. It’s to enjoy four creative sessions, learn as you go, relax, have a chat and see what you can create when you give yourself a little more time. Your Finished Painting Your portrait will be painted on high-quality canvas stretched canvas using quality acrylic paints and materials. Please note: This is a complete 4-week series, and your booking reserves your place for all four sessions. The same painting will be worked on throughout the four weeks. The remaining balance is due 7 days before the series begins.
