Snowdrop Art Workshop at Welford Park

Join the artist Charlotte Englefield for a painting workshop at Welford Park Snowdrops 2026 during their open season, for a relaxed and inspiring time filled with creativity and exploration. In this informal three-hour session, you will be learning the basics of painting techniques, including how to use brushes and palette knives to build layers, textures, and the illusion of depth on your canvas. This workshop is all about experimenting and enjoying the process, with no pressure to create something “perfect.” For those that attended last year, we will be painting a different snowdrop scene from 2025. Using these techniques, you’ll create your own unique small canvas painting, inspired by the beauty of the Snowdrops and the tranquil surroundings of Welford Park. All materials and painting supplies are provided, along with coffee, cake, and refreshments to make the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re a beginner or simply looking for a creative escape, this workshop is the perfect way to celebrate the season! Don't forget to make the most of this stunning location by exploring the grounds during your visit. As the weather can be a little cold and unpredictable at this time of year, we will have the unique experience of painting inside the Bothy, where we will be working from photos taken from previous visits to Welford Park. SOME PRACTICAL INFORMATION PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS PLENTY OF PARKING FOR VISITORS AT WELFORD PARK . IF YOU FOLLOW THE SIGNS FOR THE SNOWDROP PARKING AND WALK THROUGH THE GATES, YOUR NAME (ALL BEING WELL) WILL BE ON A LIST THERE. PLEASE ALSO BRING YOUR CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING EMAIL JUST IN CASE. WE WILL MEET IN THE GIFT SHOP, 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF THE WORKSHOP. APRONS WIL BE PROVIDED HOWEVER IT IS ADVISABLE TO WEAR OLD SHOES AND CLOTHING AS THE WALKS AROUND THE ESTATE CAN BECOME MUDDY. I LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU SOON.
